ADTECH Appoints Former Bauer and Sky Digital Media Director
Industry Expert Paul Wright Recruited as Vice President Commercial, Europe
London, UK – 15th January 2010 – ADTECH, a leading provider of ad serving technology and part of AOL Advertising, has today announced the appointment of former Bauer and Sky Digital Media Director Paul Wright as Vice President Commercial for Europe.
“We have created this new role to ensure that commercial market needs are reflected in our technology solutions,” said Dirk Freytag, CEO of ADTECH. “Paul reports directly into me and will take over sales responsibilities in Europe. After working for over 12 + years in the new media market and with invaluable customer-side experience, we have tasked Paul with developing our existing markets and kicking off activities in new European territories. He will be based in London, but will also have an office in Dreieich, Germany.”
Freytag continued: “Expectations are that Paul will be up and running quickly since he already has good working knowledge of our technology - which he used at Aura Sports, Sky and most recently Bauer. We’re delighted to have him on board.”
Commenting on his appointment Paul says: “I’ve spent a number of years client-side and have developed a good understanding of what a digital business needs from its ad server. Prior to joining ADTECH Paul held several senior level new media positions including Director for Digital at Bauer, Director of Sales for Sky Digital Media and Managing Director & Co-Founder of Aura Sports (which was sold onto BSkyB).
